Emma Mantooth

Emma Mantooth joined El Pomar Foundation as a member of the 2021 Fellowship class. As a 1st Year Fellow, Emma serves as a Program Associate for American Council for Young Political Leaders, Awards for Excellence, Communications, and the Internship. Emma also supports the North and Southeast regions.

Emma is from Thornton, Colorado and graduated from Western Colorado University in 2021 with degrees in Spanish and Communication Arts with an emphasis in Strategic Communication. While at Western, Emma was a peer Mentor, a member of the service fraternity Omicron Delta Kappa, Circulation Assistant at the campus library, an Orientation Leader, Vice President of Campaign Club, a member of Western’s coed figure skating team and Concertmistress of Western’s Chamber Orchestra. She got involved in the surrounding communities of Gunnison and Crested Butte as a marketing intern for the Crested Butte Mountain Heritage Museum, the Crested Butte Music Festival and Western Colorado University. She also created an after-school program that brought local middle school and college students together through service learning in the community. Most recently, Emma served as a volunteer medical interpreter at local vaccine clinics for Spanish-speakers.

Emma aspires to build a career centered around intercultural communication, storytelling and community service. She loves to try new things, with past adventures including river-paddleboarding and ice climbing. In her free time, Emma enjoys reading, hiking, travelling and playing the violin.
