Cody Heyler

Cody Heyler joined El Pomar Foundation as a member of the 2026 Fellowship class. As a 1st Year Fellow, he works on El Pomar’s Investment Challenge and Fellowship/Internship Recruiting teams. He also supports the Foundation’s Central Peaks and Northeast Regional Councils.

Cody grew up in a military household, moving frequently until settling in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where he spent most of his upbringing. He then attended Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona, where he graduated with a B.S. in Exercise Science and a minor in Nutrition. He was a member of the Honors College and actively engaged in the academic community. During college, he worked as a physical therapy technician at a local clinic, where he supported patients through rehabilitation. Outside of college, he interned with the Colorado Springs Switchbacks, assisting with athlete performance, and spent multiple summers as a camp counselor, mentoring and guiding students. Cody was an active participant in intramural sports and volunteered through his local church and local food banks, where he supported community outreach efforts.

Following graduation, Cody worked at a local credit union, where he developed experience as a service representative, helping members work toward their financial goals. He remains actively involved in his community through Young Life, where he continues to mentor high school students. He is passionate about connecting with and helping others, which is reflected in his diverse experiences across healthcare, athletics, and mentorship.

In his free time, Cody values spending time outdoors and staying active through hiking, camping, fishing, skiing, and running. He also enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
