Ava Ruth

Ava Ruth joined El Pomar Foundation as a member of the 2026 Fellowship class. As a 1st Year Fellow, she serves on El Pomar’s PeOPLE program and supports Fellowship/Internship Recruiting. She also supports the Foundation’s Northwest and Pikes Peak Regional Councils.

Ava grew up in Colorado Springs and graduated from Colorado State University (CSU) in 2026 with a double major in Political Science and Sociology, including a concentration in Criminology and Criminal Justice. At CSU, she served as a Senator on the Residence Hall Association, where she advocated for students living on campus. She later became a Resident Assistant, helping foster a strong sense of community among residential students. During her senior year, Ava interned for State Senator Katie Wallace during the 75th regular session of the Colorado General Assembly.

Outside of school, Ava interned with Brothers Redevelopment, a Denver-based housing nonprofit, where she supported project management and volunteer efforts. Working alongside nonprofit staff and community members helped deepen her interest in public policy and community-focused nonprofit work.

In her free time, Ava enjoys hiking, reading, hammocking, and watching movies.
