Sidney DeLong joined El Pomar Foundation as a member of the 2026 Fellowship class. As a 1st Year Fellow, Sidney serves on El Pomar’s Awards for Excellence program and supports the Communications Office as well as the Foundation’s High Country and San Luis Valley Regional Councils.
Sidney was born in Denver, but grew up in Hamilton, Montana. She graduated in January 2026 from Pacific University in Oregon, with a double major in Anthropology and International Studies and a concentration in politics and government. During college, Sidney served as a student ambassador for the Global Scholars program and worked as a teaching assistant for three years. She held leadership roles with the Student for Environmental Activism club and Pacific Students Political Society.
Sidney has a strong interest in traveling and studying abroad. In college, she studied in Spain, Trinidad & Tobago, and Tahiti, sparking a deep interest and appreciation of immersive learning. These experiences continue to shape her approach to leadership and inspire her to seek new opportunities that build her understanding of the world.
In her free time, Sidney enjoys running, reading, and getting outside whether that is camping, hiking, or trying something new.
