Emma Jones joined El Pomar Foundation as a member of the 2026 Fellowship class. As a 1st Year Fellow, Emma supports El Pomar’s Communications Office, Fellowship/Internship Recruiting, and Regional Partnerships, as well as the Foundation’s San Juan Regional Council.
Emma grew up in Craig, Colorado and graduated from Colorado College (CC) with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Education. At CC, Emma was a two-year captain on the CC Women’s Track and Field team. During her time as a student-athlete, she was a school record holder, the 2023 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Champion in the high jump, awarded CC Women’s Track and Field Most Inspirational in 2024, 2025, and 2026, and was recognized as a 2024 National Strength and Conditioning Association All-American Strength and Conditioning Athlete of the Year.
Emma was a Volunteer Coordinator of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee in the 2025-2026 school year, where she connected student-athletes with volunteer opportunities at TESSA in Colorado Springs. In addition, Emma was a member and two-year co-ambassador for a student-athlete mental health advocacy group, Morgan’s Message. As an ambassador, Emma ran meetings and provided spaces for student-athletes to advocate for their well-being in their sport and team, as well as how to advocate for resources through the athletics department. Emma was awarded the 2025-2026 Community Collaborator Award through the CC Collaborative for Community Engagement.
In her free time, Emma loves cooking, coffee-walks with friends, and crafting.
