Fellowship Alumni Gather to Celebrate 30 Years of Community Leadership
By Will Keyse, Class of 2020
El Pomar Foundation’s Fellowship, the flagship of its community stewardship programming, began in 1991. Over the course of 30 years, nearly 300 individuals have passed through the Foundation doors as Fellows and gone on to become empowered leaders in the state and across the country. After a year’s delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic, El Pomar hosted more than 150 Fellowship alumni and their families at Penrose House and the Broadmoor. The Foundation was pleased to welcome members from almost every Fellowship class, each in a friendly competition to see which was the “best Fellowship class ever” (2020 was the clear favorite).
Over the course of the weekend, Fellowship alumni heard programmatic updates from Foundation leadership, an interactive strategic briefing from White River Strategy and an impactful performance from Pikes Peak Poet Laureate, Ashley Cornelius (Fellowship Class of 2013).
Below are some photographic highlights from a celebratory weekend in Colorado Springs:
