Mountains Matter to Millennials: A Public Session to Hear from Our Region’s Young Professionals

More than 110 community members and young professionals gathered to discuss the results of the Pikes Peak Outdoor Recreation and Leisure Survey and how Colorado's natural assets can be leveraged to make this a region for young leaders to work, play, and stay.

Keynote Speaker Luis Benitez, world-class mountain guide and Director of the Colorado Office of Outdoor Recreation Industry, spoke to the question 'Can the Outdoor Industry Save the World? '

"I'm really excited about the fact that El Pomar is taking the lead in trying to understand how to connect the next generation to something we all think is pretty important...What you're really talking about here is the future stewardship of our state and how to grow that ethic."
