Doug Palmer joined El Pomar Foundation as a member of the 2018 Fellowship class. Upon completing his two-year Fellowship, he remained at the Foundation as Senior Program Associate and Deputy Director of Regional Partnerships. In this role, Doug oversees the creation of the Foundation’s annual Foundation Giving in Colorado Report, coordinates internal development and research projects, and supports the Foundation’s annual Statewide conference.
In his Senior Program Associate role, Doug is also currently on loan to the Colorado Springs Torch Grants—an economic development initiative run by the El Pomar Institute for Innovation and Commercialization at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs.
Doug grew up in Niwot, Colorado, and graduated from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington with a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration. At Puget Sound, Doug served as an orientation leader, the president of his fraternity, and the director of business services for the student government. In his spare time, Doug appreciates every opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the Rocky Mountains and reading good books.
