Abigail Hernandez

Abigail Hernandez joined El Pomar Foundation as a Fellow in July 2022. Her programs include Alumni Relations, Elevating Leadership Development, New Fellow Orientation, Sally Beck Fund and Southeast Colorado Springs Initiative. She also serves as the 1st Year Fellow for the Pikes Peak and Northwest Regions.
Abigail grew up in Round Lake, Illinois. She graduated from Colorado College with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and minors in education and linguistics. Abigail’s study of psychology informed her passion for understanding socioeconomic factors within eating disorders. During her time at Colorado College, Abigail was a Resident Advisor, a member of President’s Council, and both the Philanthropy Director and the Vice President of External Affairs for her sorority Kappa Alpha Theta. Abigail has always had a passion for philanthropic endeavors; she spent much of her time in college working to support both CASA of the Pikes Peak Region and CASA of the Lake County Area. Abigail has engaged with her community through supporting and promoting CASA of the Pikes Peak Region, a nonprofit dedicated to providing a voice in court for children who are victims of abuse, neglect or domestic conflict. CASA promotes community awareness of such issues to ensure permanent, safe, and loving homes.
In her free time, Abigail can typically be found playing fetch with her dog, Finnegan, spending time with friends or baking banana bread.
