El Pomar Fellows go on to do a lot of unusual and exciting things. But try this career progression: Princeton University to El Pomar Fellowship to a Masters of Beef Advocacy.

2007 Fellow Jen Johnson, a native of Kit Carson, was never the stereotypical Ivy Leaguer. She was known at El Pomar for her infectious enthusiasm and her love of all things cow-related—especially her family’s beloved ranch. So she might not be the first El Pomar Fellow to make the pages of The Wall Street Journal—and she’s certainly not the first Princeton grad to do it—but she’s probably the first to be found in the Journal’s pages for her role in promoting the cattle industry.
