Day Before Outward Bound
Last Day of Outward Bound
Late summer brings new faces to El Pomar Foundation as a fresh class of fellows begins its two-year journey in Colorado Springs. The season also offers all involved with the Fellowship program a chance to renew their commitment to and build a strong foundation on the RITE Values—respect, integrity, teamwork, and excellence. One of the ways that Fellowship Director Gary Butterworth believes that can be accomplished is through the highly anticipated and sometimes dreaded Outward Bound experience. Each year, first and second year fellows trade their computers and comfort zones for camping equipment and camaraderie as they travel out of the office and into the wild for leadership in a whole new context. Recently returned (and showered) from this year’s OB excursion, the fellows offer a glimpse of themselves on the last day of the trip.
