The Mount Carmel center for excellence opened its doors to veterans in Colorado Springs on Friday.
The center, located off of 8th Street on the west side of the city, offers a variety of resource all under one roof.
It integrates veteran services into one building.
Some of the groups that will have offices there are the USO, the El Pomar foundation, and the El Paso County workforce center and division of human services. There will also be a job training program through goodwill services.
Not long ago, Mount Carmel Colorado opened a similar center five years ago in Trinidad. Today in Colorado Springs, US Senator Cory Gardner was on hand for a ribbon cutting ceremony, where he talked about the importance of taking care of our veterans.
The complex is now open to veterans of all ages as well as their families.
