Horsing Around

On a recent community impact visit, our fellows snapped a photo of special advisor to the Freda Hambrick Fund Lee Goodbar connecting with a friendly horse at Front Range Equine Rescue in Larkspur. The equine rescue assisted over 300 horses in 2011 through direct rescue and other programs. Not only is the organization dedicated to rescuing and adopting horses to loving families, but it is also very much involved in policy negotiations related to horse welfare, including slaughterhouses and wild horse issues. Front Range Equine Rescue received a grant in 2011 to provide veterinary care for horses.
