El Pomar Foundation reached several significant milestones in 2018, as we surpassed $500 million in approved grants since El Pomar’s inception and celebrated 15 years of the Regional Partnerships program. The Foundation’s annual report, Confluence, highlights these benchmarks and other grant making and programmatic activities from 2018.
In accordance with our mission, El Pomar believes in supporting nonprofits working in all Colorado communities to improve the well-being of Coloradans. The report’s theme, confluence (defined as “a coming together of people or things”), serves as a metaphor for the ways in which El Pomar brings people and organizations together in partnership, fosters development and growth, and generates forward momentum.
It is the distinct honor of El Pomar Foundation’s Trustees and staff to steward the legacy of Spencer and Julie Penrose by supporting the nonprofits and leaders working to make Colorado a better state. Though the report highlights only a small cross-section of the Foundation’s 2018 grantees, we hope you enjoy reading about a few of the ways El Pomar invested in people, partnerships and possibilities last year!
