We often hear about America’s unique culture of giving. But how much do Americans actually give? And why do they give? The Chronicle of Philanthropy recently issued the findings of a new study analyzing trends in American charitable giving.
The study looks at the relationship between demographics, religion, tax incentives, and political affiliation on charitable donations. It also features slick infographics and maps that provide a breakdown of giving by state, metropolitan region, and town.
