During its annual Statewide conference in Black Hawk, Colorado, El Pomar Foundation awarded $175,000 in grants to five outstanding nonprofits from across the state through the Awards for Excellence program. Over the next few weeks, we will highlight the impact that these organizations have on the people of Colorado.
Summit Community Care Clinic (SCCC), based in Summit County, Colorado, was honored as a 2013 Awards for Excellence outstanding non-profit organization through El Pomar Foundation. The award includes a $25,000 grant.
The mission of Summit Community Care Clinic, established in 1993, is to provide exceptional, integrated, patient-centered health care services to individuals with limited access to healthcare - regardless of their patients’ ability to pay. SCCC seeks to improve the health and well-being of their patients through an integrated care model that includes services for primary care, dental health, nutrition, behavioral health and family planning.
