Next session: July 19-20, 2012
The El Pomar Regional Nonprofit Executive Leadership Program is a two-day program that provides intensive and quality leadership training to executive directors of nonprofit organizations with annual operating budgets under $750,000. The regional NELP program rotates around the state on an annual basis. This year, Regional NELP will be hosted in Alamosa in the San Luis Valley region.
If your organization’s operating budget is over $750,000, click here for more information about our NELP alternative.
Pam Shipp, a licensed psychologist and international trainer and consultant, and Cathy Robbins, Senior Vice President of El Pomar Foundation and adjunct faculty at the Center for Creative Leadership in Colorado Springs, will facilitate this program.
Applications are due June 1, 2012.
Program Outcomes:
This program is designed to accommodate 20 nonprofit executive directors from the San Luis Valley and Central Peaks regions with nonprofit experience and who are currently leading organizations with operating budgets under $750,000. There is an application process and nominal fee. A San Luis Valley or Central Peaks nonprofit is defined as any nonprofit headquartered and providing services in one or more of the following counties: Alamosa, Chaffee, Conejos, Costilla, Custer, Fremont, Mineral, and Rio Grande. At a certain point, the program will be opened up to organizations across the state.
Cost of the Regional NELP program for participants is only $300, a fraction of the actual cost for the course.
This program was so helpful. I get so little attention to my personal leadership style. The tools and insights provided will be lasting.
Southeast NELP Alumni, 2010
Having the opportunity to participate in the 2011 Nonprofit Executive Leadership Program was a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend NELP to all Nonprofit Executives as a means to gain a better understanding of their leadership skills.
