Grantmaking This Year

In 2011, El Pomar trustees approved 740 grants totaling nearly $11.2 million. The Foundation has paid 804 grants in 2011, totaling over $12 million (this includes grants approved in prior years).

So far this year, El Pomar has:

  • Approved 63 arts and culture grants totaling $987,000
  • Approved 155 civic and community grants totaling nearly $4 million
  • Approved 106 education grants totaling $1.5 million
  • Approved 88 health grants totaling $1.6 million
  • Approved 325 human service grants totaling nearly $3 million
  • Approved 3 other grants totaling $43,000
