Parliament recently approved a bill that makes Canada the first nation to officially declare November 15 as National Philanthropy Day. While the United States has yet to set a permanent day to honor the work of charities, donors and volunteers, philanthropy is recognized through celebrations all across the country in the beginning of November.

This year, Colorado set aside November 9 to pay tribute to the contributions that philanthropy makes to the statewide community.
