President of the Board of Directors, San Juan Citizens Alliance
Despite being retired Chuck McAfee’s community service contributions occupy a full-time work week. McAfee serves as president of the board of San Juan Citizens Alliance. He recently served as the co-chair of the Southwest Rural Philanthropy Days steering committee. He is the treasurer for the Regional Substance Abuse Prevention Partners board and serves on the School Community Youth Coalition Collaborative board and the Canyons of the Ancients National Monument Advisory Committee. He is an active advisor and resource to the Community Radio Project and the Southwest Community Leadership Collaborative boards. In 2007, Chuck and his wife, MB, were honored with the United Way Community Spirit Award. McAfee received a degree in electrical engineering from University of Colorado, Boulder, and his master’s and terminal degree in electrical engineering at Stanford.
