Secretary/Treasurer of the Board, San Juan Citizens Alliance
Chuck McAfee, though retired, participates in community service, which occupies a full-time work week. Chuck serves as secretary/treasurer of the board of San Juan Citizens Alliance. He served as the co-chair of the Southwest Rural Philanthropy Days Steering Committee in 2010. He is the treasurer for the Regional Substance Abuse Prevention Partners (RSAPP) Board and of the School Community Youth Collaborative Board. He is an active advisor and resource to the Community Radio Project (community radio station KSJD) and the Southwest Community Leadership Collaborative Boards. Chuck and his wife, MB, are working to restore their family homestead dry-land farm in Montezuma County to active production. Chuck received a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Colorado, and his master’s and terminal degree in electrical engineering at Stanford University.
